User ID | In the User ID field, type the identifier used by the publisher to refer to the user. |
Title | Depending on the site configuration, this may be either a field or a dropdown.
Either enter the title (Mr. Ms. Dr., etc.) in the field, or select the title from the dropdown. |
Name fields | Use these fields to specify the user's name.
The exact fields and the order in which they display varies based on the country and on Poetic configuration settings. |
Alt name fields | If alternate names are allowed, provide the alternate name for the user. |
Role | From the Role dropdown, select the security role assigned to this user, which determines the security privileges allowed for the user.
For your own profile, depending on your security privileges, this may be a non-editable field instead of a dropdown. If you can edit your own security role, the dropdown only includes roles available for your company type that have a rank equal to or less than your own. When editing other user profiles, the list of security roles is based on the company type of the user and on whether you can assign roles with a rank greater than your own. |
Status | If you are able to inactivate or re-activate the user, depending on the user's current status, an Make Inactive or Make Active link displays. |
Language | From the Language dropdown, select the user's preferred language.
All Poetic notifications also are sent to the user in the preferred language. Note: If the notification is not available in the user's preferred language, the notification is sent in a default language determined by the publisher. |
In the Email field, type the user's email address.
The email address may also be the user's Poetic login. Whether an email address is required is based on the user's company type. Whether the email address must be unique for each user is based on the Poetic configuration. |

In the Phone and Exit fields, type the user's phone number and extension.
Whether a phone number is required is based on the user's company type. |
Job title | In the Job title field, type the user's job title. |
Department | In the Department field, type the department to which the user belongs. Whether this field displays is based on the Poetic configuration. |
Company name | The name of the user's company. The company cannot be changed. |
Address fields | Use these fields to specify the user's mailing address.
The default is the company address. The exact fields and the order in which they display are based on the country in which the address is located. |
This section contains fields for providing additional publisher-specific information.
This tab displays a user's login. From this tab users can change their own password or reset the password of another user.

Current password | Displays when you are editing your own profile. Used to enter your current password when you change your password. |
New password | Displays when you are editing your own profile. Used to enter the new password. Poetic passwords must have at least 6 characters and include at least one of each of the following types of characters: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers and special characters. |
Confirm password | Displays when you are editing your own profile. Used to re-enter the new password. |
Change Password | Displays when you are editing your own profile. Saves the new password. |
Reset Password | Displays when users edit another user's profile, if the user can reset another user's password. Generates a new password and emails it to the user. |
Send email to | In the Send email to field, type the user's preferred email address for receiving notifications. |
Contact preferences | Use the check boxes to indicate whether the user can be contacted by email, regular mail, or phone.
To allow contact by a specified method, uncheck the check box for that method. Note that for email notifications sent from Poetic, which may contain important information for a customer, the publisher may be able to override the email preference. |
Restricted - cannot see company's customer's data (channel customers) | When this check box is checked, the user can only see entitlements and activated entitlements where their company is the end customer. They cannot see entitlements where their company is the sold-to or dealer. |
User links table | Contains the list of links for this user. For details, see Managing a user's company links. |
The Transactions tab lists the transactions that have occurred against the user.
