Moving entitlements to a different group

About moving entitlements

The move entitlement function allows you to select one or more entitlements and then select a group to move those entitlements to.

The selected entitlements must belong to the same company and contract.

Poetic changes the group for both the selected entitlements and:

• Any entitlements linked to those entitlements
• Any entitlements in the same shell bundle as the selected entitlements. If a parent entitlement is selected, the children are also changed. If a child is selected, both the parent and the other children are also moved.
• Any entitlements in the same entitlement kit as the selected entitlements

Selecting the entitlements to move

To select the entitlements to move:

1. On the Asset menu, click Move entitlements.

   The Search Entitlements to Move page displays. To display a list of entitlements, provide search criteria, then click Search Entitlements.

   You can only move entitlements for one company at a time. If you have access to more than one company, you use the Company name field to select the company.

   If you can only manage your own entitlements, then the results are automatically limited to your company.

2. Check the check box next to each entitlement you want to move.

   To check all of the check boxes, check the check box in the column heading. To uncheck all of the checked entitlements, uncheck the check box in the column heading.

3. When you have selected the entitlements you want to move, click Move Checked Items.

   The Detail page of the Move Entitlements process displays.

Selecting the group to move the entitlements to

On the Detail page, you select the group to move the selected entitlements to.

Depending on the number of available groups, you either:

• Select the group from the Group dropdown
• Click the find icon next to the Group field to search for and select the group

To create a new group to move the entitlements to, click Add Group. To edit the selected group, click Edit Group.

Completing the move

After selecting the group, click Next.

The Confirm page of the Move Entitlements process displays, listing the number of entitlements affected by the move. You can also add notes concerning the transaction.

Click Finish.
