Disabling contracts

Poetic allows you to manually disable contracts. When a contract is disabled, the status of the contract is changed to inactive. All entitlements existing under that contract are also disabled.

To disable a contact:

  1. On the Asset menu, click Contracts.

    The Search Contracts page displays.

  2. To display a list of contracts, specify contract search criteria, then click the Search Contracts button.

    If you belong to an end customer, the list of contracts for your company displays automatically.

  3. Click the Options link for the contract you want to disable, then select Disable Contract. The Options list on the View Contract page also includes an option to disable the contract.

    The Disable Contract Confirmation page displays.

  4. In the Notes section, add any internal or customer notes.
  5. The Entitlement Information section lists the entitlements that will be disabled as a result of disabling the contract.

    Verify the information, then click Finish.

    The Disable Contract Complete page displays indicating the contract has been disabled.
