Exporting Poetic settings

About exporting settings

Poetic allows you to export the following:

The export function is most often used to export settings from a test system after new or updated functionality has been tested, in preparation for importing the new settings into the production system.

Poetic does not import list values for lists that are mapped to other tables. For example, when you create a new company type from the company type maintenance function, Poetic automatically adds a company type list value. The company type list values are used for localization only. Because there is no way to guarantee that the corresponding value exists in the import system, Poetic does not import these types of values.

Options for exporting

The list pages for the following functions include an export link:

There is also an Export settings link on the Configuration tab of the Site Maintenance menu.

    The Export Settings page displays.
