Moving contracts to another company

When required, a contract can be moved to another company.

A contract cannot be moved if:

When a contract is moved to another company, all active coupons are moved to the new company. The contract number changes to the contract number of the contract being merged into.

To move a contract to a different company:

  1. On the Administration menu, click Site configuration.
  2. On the Site Maintenance menu, click the Configuration tab.
  3. On the Configuration tab, click Programs and contracts.

    The List Programs page displays.

  4. Click the radio button next to the program for the contract, then click the List Contracts button.

    The Search Contracts page displays.

  5. To display a list of contracts, enter contract search criteria, then click the Search Contracts button. See Conducting searches for more information about searches.
  6. Click the radio button next to the contract, then click the Edit Contract button.

    The General tab of the Contract Maintenance page displays.

  7. In the Company Information section, click the find icon.

    The Search Companies page displays.

  8. To display a list of companies, enter company search criteria, then click the Search Companies button.
  9. Click the radio button next to the company, then click the Select Company button.

    The General tab of the Contract Maintenance page displays the selected company information.

  10. Click Finish.

    The Contract Change Complete page displays.

  11. In the Entitlement Details section, in the Send confirmation email to field, enter the email address to send the confirmation of the change.
  12. In the Notes section, enter any notes for the change
  13. Click Finish.
  14. The Contract Change Scheduled page displays.

Note: For all entitlements associated with the contract, the end customer changes to the new company. Poetic sets the coordinator to the primary contact for the new company.
