The Search Downloads page allows you to search for downloads in order to update the download configuration. To display the Search Downloads page:
When the Search Downloads page first displays, the following criteria are available:
Download ID | The pub ID of the download.
You can also type a comma-separated list of download IDs. |
Download name | The name of the download. The Download name field supports partial criteria using the wild card. For example, to search for all downloads whose names begin with A, type A% in the Download name field. |
Download type | The type or category of download. For example, patch might be a download type. To limit the search results to downloads of a specific type, select the type from the dropdown. |
Product line | While a download may be associated with any product, each download is assigned a product line. To limit the search results to downloads assigned to a specific product line, select the product line from the combo box. |
To display additional criteria to help in your search, click Advanced Search. The advanced criteria include:
Status | The current status of the download. A download may be active or inactive. To search for a download with a specific status, select the status from the dropdown. |
Priority | The priority of the download. For example, a patch may have a high priority, while a trial version would have a lower priority. To search for a download with a specific priority, select the priority from the dropdown. |
Release date | Each download has a release date, which indicates when the download is first available to customers. To search for downloads with a release date within a specific range of dates, type the beginning and ending dates into the Release date fields. You can also use the date picker tool to select the date for each field. |
Last updated on | To search for downloads that were last updated within a set range of dates, type the beginning and ending dates into the Last updated on fields. You can also use the date picker tool to select the date for each field. |
Product # | Each download may be associated with to one or more products. To search for a download associate with a specific product, type the product number into the field. To search for and select a product, click the find icon. You can also type a comma-separated list of product numbers. |
Family | To search for downloads associated with products belonging to a specific family, select the family from the combo box. |
Product line | To search for downloads associated with products belonging to a specific product line, select the product line from the combo box. This is different from the product line field in the regular criteria, which is used to search based on the product line the download is assigned to.
For example, a download is assigned to the SuperServer product line, and is associated with a product that belongs to the UltraServer product line. To find the download using the Product line combo box in the regular criteria, the user would select SuperServer. To find the download using the Product line combo box in the advanced criteria, the user would select UltraServer. |
Download custom properties | You may also be able to search for downloads using the value of custom properties assigned to the download. |
After providing search criteria, to display the list of matching downloads, click Search Downloads.
