Managing activated components
About managing activated components
Adding a component to a machine
Editing a component on the machine
Removing a component from the machine
When an entitlement is activated, it is the activation components that are activated. Each machine or registration certificate therefore has a set of activated components and quantities that are associated with specific activations and product lines.
You can view these values, and, depending on your security privileges, make changes to the installed components.
Note that even though the components are changed, the keys are not regenerated until the next activation process. To regenerate the keys for the machine or registration certificate based on the updated components, select the Regenerate keys option from the Options list on the View Certificate page toolbar.
Viewing the list of components on a machine
The Components tab of the View Certificate page contains a list of the activation components associated with the machine or registration certificate.
The components are grouped by:
- Product line (if used for key generation)
- Locking technology

For each component, the list includes component name, description, and quantity.
