Scheduling the upgrade job

About scheduling upgrade runs

The Schedule tab allows you to configure a schedule for executing the upgrade job. The schedule is used when you run the job in execution mode.

Scheduling the job to run once

To schedule the job to run once at a specific date and time:

  1. From the Schedule dropdown, select Run once.
  2. In the Date field, provide the date on which to run the job. Either type the date, or use the date picker to select the date.
  3. In the Run at fields, type the time at which to run the job.

Note that if you make the execution run request after the scheduled date and time, then Poetic runs the job immediately.

Scheduling the job to run on a recurring schedule

You can also schedule the job to run on a recurring schedule. For example, if one of the upgrade-from products is still being offered, you may want to run the job periodically to ensure that everyone eligible receives their upgrades.

To schedule the job to run on a recurring schedule:

  1. From the Schedule dropdown, select Recurring schedule.
  2. In the Initial run date/time fields, set the date and time for the first run of the job. Use military time. For example, to run the report at 2:00 AM, enter 02:00. To run the report at 4:15 PM, enter 16:15.
  3. In the Last run date/time fields, set the date and time for the last run of the job. Use military time. For example, to run the report at 2:00 AM, enter 02:00. To run the report at 4:15 PM, enter 16:15.

Note that if you create the execution run request after the last run date/time, then Poetic does not allow you to complete the request. You must first update the job schedule
