Making an upgrade job inactive

About making jobs inactive

To prevent a job from being run at all, you can make the job inactive. For example, you may want to inactivate a job when the associated upgrade offer is no longer valid.

When you make a job inactive, any scheduled runs are canceled.

You also have the option to remove the marking from entitlements or machines or registration certificates.

Inactivating a job without removing any marking

To make a job inactive without removing the marking from entitlements or machines or registration certificates:

  1. On the Search Automated Upgrade Jobs page, click the Options link for the job.
  2. In the Options list, click Inactivate job.
  3. On the Inactivate Automated Upgrade Job form, click Inactivate Job.
