When you select the view option, a read-only version of the Automated Upgrade Job Maintenance page displays. While the fields display, you cannot save any changes to the job configuration.
When editing a job that has been executed, especially a job used to mark entitlements or machines or registration certificates as upgradeable, you need to be very careful about the type of information you are changing.
Any updates to the upgrade mapping or upgrade validation will affect the upgrade process for any entitlements or machines or registration certificates that already have been marked by the upgrade job. When users perform upgrade activation, Poetic goes back to the job configuration to determine the validation requirements and the upgrade-to products.
For example, a job is configured to mark entitlements and machines or registration certificates for Product 1 in order to upgrade Product 1 to Product 2. If, after the job is run, the user edits the job to replace Product 2 with Product 3, then the next time a user performs an upgrade activation for one of the marked entitlements or machines or registration certificates, Product 1 is upgraded to Product 3.
