Copying an upgrade job

Upgrade jobs can have very complex configurations. To save having to replicate a similar configuration in a new job, Poetic allows you to copy the configuration from an existing job. You can then make the necessary changes for the new job.

To copy an existing job:

1. Click the Options link for the job you want to copy.
2. In the options list, click Copy Job.

   The General tab of the Automated Upgrade Job Maintenance page for the new job displays.

   The new job has all of the configuration settings for the copied job, except for the job name, job ID, and description.

Note that the new job only inherits the configuration from the old job. It does not inherit any transaction or run information. The job status is New.
